Before his race, you told me "he can do it, he just has to get past it". Did you know that day would come today?

We didn't come here for nothing. It was a two-hour drive, more or less. It was sure that if we came here, he had to do something big. He made us a race of sick by making the minimum! Everyone is happy, especially him because it's all for him. It's incredible.

Mimoun at the Worlds, when did you believe it?

I believe it every time I see him in training. When I see him, I tell myself that this guy is international. You have to see him in the international leagues. He's going to do incredible things there. He is a sick man.

Did you know you were coming for this, for this time and this qualification?

I knew I was coming here with the intention of making my record. Two weeks ago, we had a big week where I went home and I couldn't walk anymore. So here I was expecting to do a big performance. I had problems with my allergies all week so it didn't put me in the best of confidence. I really struggled all week. But today I felt good. I was in a good vibes, the weather was good, so it could only go well. I was confident.

When you started, what were your feelings?

When I started, I felt good, I took my first hurdle well. My first 200 meters, I did them at a good pace, while being relaxed. I didn't feel tired. My second turn, it is always at this point that I have the most difficulty. When I made my second turn, I thought "my race is dead" because I got confused in my supports. But I finally managed to catch the thing, and in the last straight I gave what was left, it was enough.

What makes his performance so extraordinary in your eyes?

Seeing all the hard work pay off. When we see him run, we always say to ourselves "he has it easy". But there is work behind it. That's what's incredible. And to see all that he has done to get here, that's what's even greater and that's why everyone is happy.

Do you plan to set another solid goal before the worlds?

To beat my record. I did the minimums, but I'm not much below. The goal is to get the time down again. Otherwise, to have fun in other events if I have the opportunity between now and then, in the 100 or even 110 meters hurdles.

One word to describe this day?

INCREDIBLE
