52.08 in the 400m on your return to the track. After your injury, you come back with a level close to your personal best. It's like you never really left... Did you know this performance was in your legs?

I'm not quite close to my record, because I have a record in 50.29 and here I did 52.0, but besides that I'm really happy to have achieved this performance. It allowed me to get back into the 4×4. I'm happy to be able to run with the Cheetahs in Munich, it's been so long. I know it's going to be so much fun. I'm happy for the performance, but more importantly for getting back into racing.

After you won the race, what was the first thing you said to yourself when you saw the result?

The first thing I said to myself when I saw the result was: "Wow, you finally did it! Your first race is done!" Because well... it was still stressful. When I saw the result, I said to myself that it was really a great comeback considering the circumstances and the season I had. I was proud of myself for having done the race and for having achieved this result. It was a great relief.

What kept you on track during your rehab?

What kept me going during my rehab was faith, first of all. And second, acceptance. I accepted the situation from the beginning. I didn't try to blame anyone or feel sorry for myself. I knew I had to work hard to try to get back to a decent level, which I did.

And at the moment, if you had to give a message to those who have taken you as a model, what would it be?

For the people who took me as a model, thank you. I don't know if there are many, but thank you. It's touching to think that there may be little young women out there who look up to me and see me as their role model. If I was able to help them in any way, well, good for them. I really do. The message I'd like to get across is that you should never give up. When you know why you're doing things, you should never give up. My philosophy is that everything happens for a reason.

Complete this sentence according to your inspiration: "if ... then I can do it."

If "I have faith and determination" then I can do it.
